Last updated: April 2026
This policy explains what personal information Diamond Web Dev collects when you use this website and contact form, why it is collected, and what happens to it. It is written to comply with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
1. Who we are
Diamond Web Dev is a sole-trader web development business based in Newcastle, UK. For the purposes of UK GDPR, we are the data controller for any personal information collected through this website.
You can contact us at: mikeydiamond@hotmail.co.uk
2. What data we collect and why
The only personal data we collect is what you voluntarily submit through the contact form:
- Your name — so we know who we are speaking with
- Your email address — so we can reply to your enquiry
- Your message — the details of your project or question
The legal basis for processing this data is legitimate interests (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(f)) — specifically, to respond to your enquiry and potentially enter into a contract with you.
3. How your data is stored
This website is hosted on GitHub Pages. The public site files do not store your form data. Contact form submissions are sent through Formspree, which acts as a data processor on our behalf. You can read Formspree's privacy policy at formspree.io/legal/privacy-policy.
We do not use any cookies, tracking scripts, or analytics tools on this website. No data is sold or shared with third parties for marketing purposes.
4. How long we keep your data
Form submissions may be retained by Formspree for a period described in their policies (see the link above). We process enquiries promptly and do not use your data for marketing. If you become a client, your contact details may be retained for the duration of the working relationship and up to 6 years afterwards for legal and tax record-keeping purposes.
5. Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Rectify any inaccurate data
- Erasure — request your data be deleted
- Object to processing of your data
- Complain to the ICO (the UK's data protection regulator) at ico.org.uk
To exercise any of these rights, email us at mikeydiamond@hotmail.co.uk and we will respond within 30 days.
6. Changes to this policy
If we make any significant changes to this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. We recommend checking back periodically.
